Our Story

Hobby & Co. was born from a place of faith, healing, and creative calling.

What started as a personal mission to make a better candle —grew into a deeper purpose: to create beautiful, clean-burning scents that speak to the soul and celebrate the stories we carry.

As a Black-owned, woman-led brand, Hobby & Co. is rooted in legacy. Inspired by moments with family, memories of childhood Sundays, the joy of a well-loved recipe, and the sacred softness of stillness, each candle celebrates the beauty of our culture, our communities, our capacity to keep going and the change we want to see.

Our founder’s journey—through faith, illness, and rediscovery—taught us that light is more than ambiance. It’s healing. It’s intention. It’s ministry.
